The Physical Medicine Center of the Cumberlands
Ron Huitt, PT, OCSC, CSCS, is a Physical Therapist, owner of The Physical Medicine Center of the Cumberlands. Ron Huitt explains why ReDoc® powered by xfit® is his Physical Therapy Software of choice.
Ron Huitt: My name is Ron Huitt and I’m a Physical Therapist in Livingston, Tennessee. I’m the founder and owner of the Physical Medicine Center. We’re in a small community. We treat everyone in our community – young and old. We spend most of our time with orthopedic patients. We see everyone from small children…to the geriatrics to the strokes and anything in between.
Probably one of the the biggest problems we had before using ReDoc was…despite what we would send in for notes and records, occasionally they would get sent back. And since I’ve been using the ReDoc product, I hardly ever get a denial based on the documentation information that occurs in the notes when they come to therapy.
Tonya Sells: We were that old school, the hardback book, you know, for a schedule. And it was very, very hard to take that book away. But we actually did it on the very first day when we went live.
Ron Huitt: The flow of thought in the SOAP note is very logical and is very helpful, and there’s good prompts to help you with your records and your notes. It’s made much more efficient in performing our duties and then being able to do the documentation that well represents what we’re doing.
Periodically I’ll go back and look at other documentation systems that are available, and never really found them to meet quite the criteria that we had come to expect by using the ReDoc product.
We did not become physical therapist to sit and do paperwork for the rest of our lives….We became physical therapist because we enjoyed interacting with patients and participating in their treatment activities. ReDoc powered by xfit has helped us become more interactive with our patients by spending less time in paperwork.
