Dear ReDoc,

I work in an inpatient rehab therapy setting, and my clinicians each have at least 20 patients to see today. Every morning, we waste a lot of time running to check the printer for new orders and making sure patients are assigned appropriately, all while trying to keep the caseload balanced.

Now it’s lunchtime, and I’m still trying to keep up with orders as they come in and match updates to existing patients. Don’t even talk to me about the duplicate orders! The Solution

You are not alone when it comes to dealing with the challenges of coordinating therapy services in the acute care setting. It’s not easy to make sure patients get the care they need and are seen within the expected timeframes.

Good news! The new ReDoc powered by xfit for Acute Care helps speed time from order to evaluation through real-time updates with the digital Patient Management Board and Clinician Worklist. Read on to learn how magnet boards, printing orders, tracking on spreadsheets and wasting time on tasks not directly related to hands-on patient care can be things of the past.

Patient Management Board

With the Patient Management Board, managers can instantly view new orders and quickly assign patients across even a large number of clinicians equitably using the drag and drop functionality. Clinicians can be viewed by discipline and seen or hidden based on staffing availability for the day. ReDoc powered by xfit for Acute Care allows orders and notes from your native Hospital Information System to create discipline treatment cycles on the Patient Management Board, and caseloads automatically adjust based on assignments and hospital discharges. The Quick View Dashboard allows managers to monitor progress on evaluations, treatments, and documentation completion, allowing for quick identification of situations that warrant a re-distribution of work. Our interfaces work behind the scenes to ensure clinicians’ documentation is communicated directly back to your HIS so physicians and case managers can access recommendations for treatment programming and discharge planning. The Patient Management Board lets managers and staff assign and monitor clinician progress more efficiently, decreasing the time between order receipt and execution.

Clinician Worklist

Clinicians access their caseload and patient documentation through the web-based Clinician Worklist. They can see at a glance what their caseload looks like in real time on any computer with internet access. Clinicians can even print a patient list to assist with tracking and note-taking when they’re away from their computers. New orders, room changes, and discharges are easily identified, eliminating the time wasted in searching for patients. Increasing efficiency in caseload management using the Clinician Worklist allows your therapists to see more patients more often – improving their outcomes.
