August 2015
Dear WoundExpert,
I love participating in Clinical Trials because that means my clinic is on the forefront of wound healing technologies and products. Can WoundExpert help with this?
The Scenario
You want to participate in studies and trials, but it needs to be relatively efficient and not wreak havoc on your workflow. Why miss these interesting opportunities that help further the wound care community? We understand why some facilities shy away from it. Protocol guidelines and documentation needs can be difficult to track.
Traditionally, the effort involved to identify patients that are good candidates, enroll them in a study, and track their progress means a bunch of paper forms. Plus, transmitting all that data to the Clinical Research Organization (CRO) can range somewhere between cumbersome and daunting.
The Solution
We have a whole new experience for you. Net Health recently released WoundExpert functionality that revolutionizes the way clinics interact with a Clinical Study. We partnered with Nuo Therapeutics, maker of Aurix, to allow clinics to easily participate in the Gold Study protocol (a CMS CED program).
Aurix is the first platelet and plasma therapy system cleared by the FDA for the management of ulcers and wounds of all types (diabetic foot ulcer, pressure ulcer, venous leg ulcer, etc.) and severities (partial thickness, full thickness, and complex wounds).WoundExpert clients that choose to participate in the Aurix Gold Study protocol will be able to:
- Recognize potentially eligible patients because they’re flagged by an Eligibility Report
- Utilize Tasks and Alerts to guide clinics through protocol documentation
- Pre-populate protocol forms with information from patients medical record
- Automatically submit information to Clinical Research Organization via secure connection
Essentially, you’re ready to roll if you choose to participate in the Aurix clinical study. Bring this interesting opportunity to your providers and patients without the usual hassles.
