{Straight talk for clients}
Each quarter, we ask for your feedback with our Customer Satisfaction survey—and we listen! This Flash highlights two new features that were added as a result of your feedback.
March 2017
Dear WoundExpert,
When I’m documenting a patient visit, I’d love to better understand how the information I capture will ultimately feed into the physician’s Progress Note. I’d also like to track my progress to see what visit documentation I’ve completed and what I still have left to complete at a glance.
The Solution
WoundExpert powered by xfit released two new features in response to your feedback. One enables you to watch your Progress Note being built as you document while the other provides a different view of the workflow for your visit that includes which documents have been submitted, are locked, and are set up as critical documents.
Progress Notes Panel
If enabled, the new Progress Note panel allows you to view the Progress Note being built via an expandable panel located to the right of your working window in a visit. Watch as pieces of your documentation recorded throughout a visit feed into the Progress Note in a narrative format, ready for review and submission by the physician.
Vertical Workflow Option
You can now choose to keep your workflow presented as the standard horizontal nodes (the default view you are currently seeing) or switch to a vertical display of documents in a new, left-hand panel. Utilizing the new Vertical Workflow panel enables you to see which specific documents are set to be completed as part of your selected workflow and track progress as you move through the visit.
Can’t wait to have these features?
Enable them both from the ‘My Profile’ page in WoundExpert.
- Enable the Progress Notes Panel via My Profile > Documentation Configuration > Progress Note Configuration.
- Enable the Vertical Workflow via My Profile > System Configuration > Workflow Configuration.
After you enable the features, you’ll still have the flexibility to expand or collapse the panels when in a patient’s visit to maximize space in your working window as you document.
Tip: As you move from visit to visit, WoundExpert will keep the panels collapsed or expanded based on your preference from the last visit you documented.
Not looking for a change in these features? No problem. If you don’t enable them as instructed above, you won’t see any difference with these features.

Connections Corner
Net Health wants to save you time. One way we do this is through the WoundExpert Connections Program. By replacing paper order forms and fax machines with electronic connections to a facility’s vendors, ordering your clinical care supplies is now fast, easy and accurate.
Here are the latest, free updates to our Connections modules:
New Wound Product Supplier (WPS) Vendors:
- Halo Wound Solutions
- Community Medical
Supporting Documentation Improvement:
- The Supporting Documentation feature for Connections now allows you to queue documents you wish to have automatically sent with the order once they have been signed! This can help save your clinic time by eliminating the need to go back at the end of a visit and re-send the Connections form with appropriate supporting documentation from the visit. No set up is involved—this enhancement will happen automatically with your next order.
The Connections modules can be automatically enabled within WoundExpert. Please contact WoundExpert Customer Support at feedback@nethealth.com if you have any questions.

And the winner is…
Thanks for your input on February’s Product Satisfaction Survey.
Each quarter, we ask you to complete a brief survey sharing feedback on WoundExpert. Those who complete the survey are entered into a drawing, this time for Fitbit Blaze and Aria Smartscale or a donation to a charitable organization of the winner’s choice. And this quarter’s winner is Kimberly. Congratulations! Thanks for your thoughtful feedback.
Keep your eye out for next quarter’s survey, coming this spring!
