{Straight talk for clients}
Do you find yourself confused when trying to complete order forms from various Wound Product Suppliers because no two order forms look the same? Read on to learn what we’re doing to standardize ordering from Wound Product Suppliers in WoundExpert.
Dear WoundExpert,
Why do Wound Product Supplier forms differ from vendor to vendor? Every time I place an order I must remember where information is located on each of the vendors’ forms – no two are alike. It’s also difficult to keep track of the products each vendor offers. I must place orders with Wound Product Suppliers to get my patients the supplies they need, but it has become quite a hassle. The vendors never seem to have the exact information they need from me and there is almost always additional back and forth communication required.
The Solution
A standardized Connections order form is coming soon! This common form will re-organize the order of certain sections so that like information is grouped together and completed at the same time in a logical manner. Information will continue to flow in from documents and materials such as the Patient’s Demographics and Wound Assessments. We’ve also removed that pesky supporting documentation pop-up and built it right into the form. This way, you’ll be able to see at a glance which documents you’ve sent on which dates.
Additionally, we’ve enhanced the printer-friendly version of the document so that you’ll now be able to see everything that the vendor sees. This includes information on what supporting documentation has been sent and what might still require signatures before the Wound Product Supplier can view it.
This new Connections order form will minimize calls between the clinic and the Wound Product Supplier, which means fewer headaches and wasted time for you and patients will get their supplies quicker. You can access the standardized Connections order form the same way you always have — either in your current workflow or from the Connections dropdown within the Visit Actions menu. But don’t worry, it has received quite the makeover! We’ve brought the look and feel of the Wound Product Supplier form into the 21st century. Take a look below for a sneak peek of the new standardized Connections order form:
Keep an eye out for these enhancements to the standardized Connections order form in the months to come.

Over the past few months, several of our vendor partners have enhanced their forms to make submitting DME orders even easier. Specifically, Wound Product Supplier (WPS) vendors Acentus/Preston, Cardinal Health/Edgepark Medical, Direct Medical, Medline, Prism, and TWS have all made significant updates to their order forms recently. Be sure to check out each of these forms to see what’s new!
We’ve also recently added a new vendor to the Wound Product Supplier (WPS) module. RestorixHealth’s At-Home Wound Care Supplies order form is now available exclusively to sites managed by RestorixHealth. If your facility is managed by RXH, the At-Home Wound Care Supplies form should be available in the WPS module dropdown.

Referring Physician can now be defined on a patient’s Admission history. In June 2019 we released the ability to associate a referring physician with a patient’s admission. This allows you to appropriately track which physicians are referring patients to your would clinic.
And the winner is….
Thanks for your input on our third quarter Product Satisfaction Survey.
Each quarter, we ask you to complete a brief survey sharing feedback on WoundExpert. Those who complete the survey are entered into a drawing, this time around for an Apple Watch or a donation to a charitable organization of the winner’s choice. The winner is Jonathan S. Congratulations! Thanks for your thoughtful feedback!
