Built on a cloud-native foundation with natively embedded AI, Unity delivers a cleaner, more intuitive workflow that reduces documentation burden and improves efficiency—while preserving the familiar Optima workflows therapy teams rely on. Unity is rolling out in phases beginning in 2026. 

AI is built directly into Unity to assist with real-time transcription, speaker identification, and intelligent form initialization within documentation. These capabilities help reduce manual typing and support more efficient capture of clinical detail—while clinicians retain full visibility, review, and control before anything is saved. 

No. Unity is a core upgrade to Optima’s clinical experience, designed to streamline how clinicians work within the EHR. AI is natively built into the Unity platform, but it is optional and can be added at an additional cost to further reduce documentation effort and improve workflow efficiency. Unity can be used with or without AI, though enabling AI is recommended for teams seeking the most streamlined experience. ​

Unity with AI will be introduced in phases, beginning in mid-2026 and continuing through the end of the year. Optima customers are supported throughout adoption with clear communication, structured training, and in-application guidance to ensure teams feel confident and prepared at every stage.
